A pick me up for a sad occasion!
15/07/2009 by Gary Gummer.
I presented the Bampton British Legion Standard this afternoon, I stood on a layby near Faringdon with seven other standard bearers from around our local area. There were a few hundred people standing along the road, quite a significant moment. The Cortege of eight Union Jack draped coffins was very upsetting and sad, many tears were shed, and hankerchiefs were in evidence. On my return to the car a fellow standard bearer said, ‘I’ll see you next time’.
While sitting in my car waiting for the traffic to reduce, I really needed to lift my spirits from such a sad moment, so I had a look through my collection of essential oils that I keep in the car and came to May Chang. May Chang essential oil from China is a wonderful lemony aroma with a lighter lemongrass base note, it really made me think of an exotic location, quite divorced from my immediate surroundings, May Chang gives me a lift, making me feel a bit better. Giving me strength. Until the next time!

Do you use essential oils?
07/07/2009 by Gary Gummer.
One of the objectives of this File is to gather therapeutic remedies of essential oils from you the individual, the person who is reading these words from wherever you are on this planet
I would really appreciate your input to my file on what you personally use essential oils for?
My display at craft fairs, and my website has approximately 25 essential oils that have been produced from all over the world, Eucalyptus-Austalia, May Chang-China, Lavender-France, Basil-India, to name just a few. These essential oils are all used by individuals like yourself to help them through their life. I use Lavender essential oil to help me sleep, What do/would you use it for?
If english is NOT your native language, but you can understand the words that are written, please send your replies and I will endeavour to translate it into english.

Preventing bugs biting you!
02/07/2009 by Gary Gummer.
Warm again tonight, and flying bugs have been trying to invade my personal space, but fortunately for me I have been restocking my craft fair supplies and filling vials with Citronella essential oil, it is an excellent essential oil to ward off flying bugs.
Citronella, and other citrus oils like May Chang or Lemongrass, are used extensively throughout Asia to help stop mosquitoes and other insects from biting humans. Why not here? Another advantage of using these three essential oils during the summer is they smell wonderful too. If you want to try them out? Buy the best and in small quantities.

My essential oil First Aid Kit
02/07/2009 by Gary Gummer.
I know that personal choice differs throughout the human race, but there are some essential oils that are, in my opinion very useful to have in a home medicine cabinet or as part of a First Aid Kit for holidays. I predominately use three essential oils, Eucalyptus, Lavender and Tea Tree. I use Eucalyptus for colds, flu and hayfever. I use Lavender to help gain a restful sleep, treat insect bites, cuts from thorns and small burns. I use Tree Tea to help with toothache, mouth ulcers, sore throats and athletes foot. I will explain in future posts, the different methods I use to help me overcome the problems I encounter through my daily life.
It’s very muggy and hot here tonight, so when I go to bed I will be using eucalpytus and lavender to help me sleep, I put a few small drops of both oils onto my ‘aroma bomb’ one of our very successful creations, (some essential oils leave a mark on material) the ‘aroma bomb’ enables me to use the oils and not stain the pillow case or bed sheet, the eucalyptus helps me breath and the lavender just helps me to relax and unwind, I normally have a good nights sleep using these two wonderful oils. I suggest you try them sometime.
